DeutscheBack is an affiliate of Muhlenchemie GmbH & Co and both companies are subsidiaries of the Stern Wywiol Group. Muhlenchemie, which was established in 1923, specialises in flour treatment and flour standardisation. With more than 80 years of experience developing flour improvers the company has done much to influence the 250-year history of cereal chemistry and its products are now exported to over 100 countries around the globe. DeutscheBack has been able to draw on this enormous experience to develop its own products and functional systems that are tailored to meet its customers' specifications.

Based in Arhensburg near Hamburg, DeutscheBack is focused on functional systems for bread and pastry goods, multi-component systems for the baking industry, emulsifiers for cakes and related recipe development.
